Who we are

The KYOCERA AVX Components (Salzburg) GmbH can look back on a long and successful history. Founded in 1979 as AB Elektronik GmbH, the company became part of the American AVX Corporation in 2017 and has borne its current name since 2021. As a specialist in high-quality POWER and LED modules for the automotive market, the company develops, among other things, electronic control units, electric smart switches, SiC half-bridge modules, on-board chargers and LED modules.

With the strategic realignment decided in 2024, the Salzburg location will in future be established as a competence centre for power modules. The focus lies on product and process development, industrialisation activities, validation and testing. Production will be completely relocated to other sites, allowing Salzburg to focus entirely on research, development and strengthening its innovative power - a quality appreciated by customers worldwide.

Control Units (ECU)
